Now, I'm not a big conspiracy person but this movie makes a good argument. I personally like part 1 but those of you who consider themselves religious may not be so fond. You can watch this thing in parts on youtube if you want to skip around.

something odd
First of all, Sorry I havn't posted in a while.
OK, So my family goes to "the river" which is a specific segment of the Colorado River near the Imperial dam for famiily vacations/weekends. Ok, so this river has a pretty strong current and many "sand bars" which are areas on the river which naturally collect large amounts of sand. We park our boat on them, and setup chairs, horseshoe's, BBQ, and try not to get sun burnt. Think Memorial weekend.
SO, back to this strong current. Now, most parents make sure that the kids who can't swim, or swim poorly wear a life vest all day. Because, like I said, we are surrounded by water and the current is.. . yes, strong.
SO, I was drinking my beer, minding my own business when I heard my mom call out to me from our boat to come help. I looked over and saw some kid struggling to swim near our boat and since I'd seen him earlier with his sisters I began to jog over to see what/if anything I needed to do.
I hear my mom call out again to "hurry!" at which point this kids head bobbs under water and he doesn't come back up.
I sprint accross the sandbar jump in waist deep water and pull him out coughing and choking on water.
Yay me. I rule.
SO here is the odd part, not only were his parents not watching him and not involved in the rescue, but they didn't seem to care at all that he almost died. AND, they didn't bother coming over to say "thanks"...
Some people should never have kids. I am trying to cut them some slack by suggesting here that maybe they didn't understand the situation but apparently my sister overheard this boy's sisters tell their parents that he almost drowned and apparently they said, "why did you almost drown"????????
alright, I'm done.

ok so it's may 14th
and my life is getting a little busy, so I'm very sorry for not posting in almost a month.
lets see, anything new in the news?....
haha, consider this: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070514/wl_nm/pope_brazil_indians_dc
the Pope has said today that not only are the traditional beliefs of Indians a "step backward" from Christianity, but he also claims that the church never imposed itself on the native peoples!!
wow, either he is in spin-mode or he doesnt have a good understanding of history because it is well documented that the Christian religion was spread via the sword. As that article points out, Millions of natives died as a DIRECT result of missionary actions.
good article if not far too short in pointing out the hypocracy

what it means to be an American
In the most patriotic sense, I ask myself what it means to me...
1) If, when at work, you focus on getting the work done rather than watching the time tick away
2) When giving your children "a better life" than you had is your top priority
3) When family comes before everything else
4) When you know that all politicians are crooks, but you'll vote for one of them anyway
5) When you'll stand behind your brother and back him up, even when he's probably wrong
6) When you bitch about the gas prices, but love your SUV
7) When you pay your taxes, even when your country spends it overseas...
8) When doing the right thing often comes at too high a price
9) When continuing your education always means large amounts of debt
10) When the rich will always have a leg up in life
11) When the poor waist their time fighting eachother rather than fighting the system
12) When Unions lose and CEO's offshore
13) When your rent is more than half your pay
14) When your credit card debt requires debt refinancing
-When all of these things are true, you will indeed, be an American

2 strange words: Barak Obama
Just annouced that he raised almost as much $$ as Clinton with twice as many people donating $$ to his campaign. Can you guess what this means?
-The race has begun.
On the flip-side - John McCain fell well short of his goal and Mitt Romney. Guess what that means...
Not fucking much. You get held POW by North Vietnam = you never fucking give in. McCain is in for the LONG HAUL.
-----either way this next election goes, I feel sorry for whoever takes over the 3-war-mess as well as the impending recession. (housing CRISIS anyone?)

ITS TREASON!!
So I was reading the news and saw that some politicians in Columbia were arrested for involvement with para-military groups in plots to kidnapp political rivals. I was thinking to myself "Jeez, look at all that corruption, I'm sure glad we don't have anything like that here. If something like that had been planned in the U.S. , they would be held for treason..." And remembering back to the Nixon days and how he did some illegal things to spy on the Democrats and it hit me.
-From the very day a new administration is voted into office, the opposite party (since there are only two) works day and night to OVERTHROW the administration.
I Know, this seemed odd to me at first too!@
How can we function as a "Democracy" which includes the "peaceful transition of power" if every single politico is trying to undermine and overthrow the government?
we can look back at the Clinton years (oh the memories) and see clear examples of how it hinders our goverment...
clinton claims that since the republicans were after him day and night about lewinski, it made it more difficult to go after Bin Laden.. therefore, resulting in September 11th. They put his ass up on impeachment charges, handicapping almost his entire political goals, and for what? So he could be aquitted? http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/stories/1999/02/12/impeachment/
good going repubs...
well, so how can we fix this little problem I like to call "democracy with treason"?
I have no idea...
maybe we should find some sort of power-sharing governmental structure. at least that might cut down on some of the mud slinging... hmm. OVERTHROW OVERTHROW!! DOWN WITH THE ADMINISTRATION... :p haha, that's kind of catchy
